Slag pit management is essentially the breaking, excavating, and transportation of cooled slag from slag pits.

Slag dumped in pits is cooled by water sprays for specified duration. The cooled slag is dug using Shovel type Excavators and loaded onto massive 35T Dumpers to transport to the Material Recovery Plant of Tata Steel.

UAE has been involved in digging of cooled slag from slag dumping pits and hauling of the same in the metal recovery plant section of Tata steel for quite a few years. We make this possible through application of high capacity shovels and dumpers and experienced operators who run these equipments.

We have been successfully executing this job over the past few years carrying around 1.5 Lakh Tonnes per month of steel slag from LD#1 and LD#2 to the MRP plant inside Tata Steel Jamshedpur plant with an aim to achieve zero delay in slag evaluation/transportation and maintaining the pit ready for seamless operations.

We also currently service providers for slag pot carrying and tipping in Tata steel Jamshedpur.
